App-specific policy. This policy applies only to Cat Translator: Talk to Cat. It does not apply to Authenticator App or any other MatechMobile product.

1. Scope and who we are

Matechmobile Global Limited, operating as MatechMobile ("MatechMobile," "we," "us," or "our"), provides Cat Translator: Talk to Cat (the "App"). The App does not require users to create an account.

This Privacy Policy covers information processed by the App, including information processed through advertising, analytics, and crash-reporting services integrated into the App. By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described here and in our Terms and Conditions.

2. Information collection and use

The data processed depends on the features you use, your device permissions, your consent choices, and the services available in your region. The current version of the App may process the following categories:

Data category Examples Primary use
Approximate location Coarse location or location inferred from an IP address Analytics, advertising, and measuring ad performance
Photos and videos Media you select or provide when using relevant App features Providing the feature you request
Audio Voice or sound recordings used with translation, playback, analysis, or sound-generation features Providing the feature you request
App activity App interactions, feature use, engagement events, and ad interactions Analytics, attribution, app improvement, and advertising
App information and performance Crash logs and diagnostic information Reliability, troubleshooting, analytics, and app improvement
Device or other identifiers Android Advertising ID, app instance identifiers, and device-related identifiers Analytics, advertising, attribution, fraud prevention, and ad measurement

Device permissions

Depending on the feature you choose, the App may request access to your microphone, audio files, photos, videos, media library, camera, or device storage. These permissions are used only to provide the related feature, such as recording a voice or cat sound, choosing media, translating or playing audio, or saving and sharing an output. You may deny or revoke a permission in Android Settings, although the related feature may then be unavailable.

Information collected automatically

Advertising, analytics, and crash-reporting services may automatically receive information such as your IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, device type, Android version, App version, language, time zone, advertising identifier, App interactions, ad impressions or clicks, diagnostic information, and the date and time of an event.

3. User content and media files

Content that you select or create—such as voice recordings, cat-sound recordings, photos, videos, imported media, generated sounds, and translated or processed audio—is handled only to provide the feature you request. Depending on the feature, content may be processed on your device or transmitted to a service provider for processing. The App will request the relevant Android permission and, where applicable, describe the feature before you use it.

Recordings and media that you save or export remain on your device or in the destination you select. You can delete locally stored or exported content using Android file or media controls, by deleting the destination copy, or by uninstalling the App, subject to backups or synchronization that you control.

We do not sell your private voice recordings, cat-sound recordings, photos, videos, audio files, or other user-created content.

4. Advertising, analytics, and diagnostics

We use Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Firebase Crashlytics to display and measure advertising, understand App usage, diagnose crashes, prevent fraud, and improve the App.

Depending on your device, location, consent choices, and use of the App, these services may process advertising identifiers, device or App-instance identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, device and operating-system information, App version, language, diagnostic data, ad impressions and clicks, and in-App events.

Where required by applicable law, the App requests consent before using information for personalized advertising. You can manage relevant choices through the consent prompt, Android privacy settings, or Google My Ad Center. Choosing non-personalized ads does not prevent ads from being shown.

5. How we use and share data

We process information only for legitimate App and business purposes, including to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve App features;
  • process media or audio submitted for a feature you request;
  • understand feature use and measure engagement;
  • detect, diagnose, and fix crashes or technical problems;
  • display, personalize where permitted, and measure advertising;
  • attribute installs and events, and prevent fraud or abuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We may share limited information with the providers identified below when necessary for these purposes. Approximate location and device identifiers may be collected or shared for analytics and advertising. Providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. To the extent applicable law treats certain personalized-ad disclosures as a “sale” or “sharing,” you may exercise the choices described below.

6. Third-party service providers

The App uses the following third-party services:

These providers may process information in countries other than your own and retain it according to their controls and policies.

7. Retention, deletion, and security

Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, enforce agreements, and prevent fraud or abuse. Retention periods vary by data type and provider. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained where it can no longer reasonably identify you.

Deletion

The App does not create user accounts and currently does not include an in-App tool for deleting provider-held data. You may request deletion of personal information controlled by MatechMobile by emailing contact.matechmobile@gmail.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request.” We may need to verify your request and may retain limited information where required or permitted by law. Information controlled independently by a provider is subject to that provider's controls and request process.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Third-party providers maintain their own security controls.

MatechMobile and its service providers may process information in countries where they operate. Data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

10. Log and diagnostic data
